Praverb the Wyse – Wisdom’s Café
Bottom line up front…Wisdom’s Café by Praverb the Wyse is an outstanding album.
Praverb the Wyse is an amazing storyteller and his voice is reminiscent of Andre 3000
during his Southernplayalistik days. These two make for a killer combination. The album was very introspective and I found myself so entranced with every song.
Songs are well thought out and cover a wide spectrum of topics.
Great production featured by Croup, LX Beats, Noyd, Streetwize, DJ Beautiful and Gamshooter.
I’m always a big fan when emcees enunciate lyrics clearly. This is evident in is his crisp flow and delivery on every track.
Praverb also displays his ability to freestyle on Track 21 and 22. This album is a fresh of breath air in comparison to the stuff that they’re playing on the radio.
My favorite tracks: Pleasant Streets & Carry the Cross.
Such an album is definitely worthy of your ten bucks, but he graciously offers the album free for download on his website:
Support this emcee and check out the rest of his music. You won’t be disappointed.

Slavename (rhymes) & Senbei (beats) present: “The Mitchell Report”
I have been fortunate enough to have been given a sneak peek of the forthcoming album entitled “The Mitchell Report”.
Hip hop super producer/emcee, Senbei of the Broken Halos teams up with newcomer emcee Slavename to deliver 12x mind blowing tracks.
Slavename is an outstanding storyteller and intricately paints the canvas for his listeners. His smooth seamless flow and energy combine for the perfect musical recipe.
Senbei does an excellent job of setting the mood and establishing Slavename’s presence. Hard drums and cleverly placed vocal samples spice up the tracks nicely.
I’ve been a longtime fan of Sen, and once again, no disappointments. My favorite tracks: Change the World and Slavename’s Lament.
The Mitchell Report is set to drop in mid 2010. Make sure you cop the album by this Northern Cali duo. You won’t regret it.

Davu Flint: Vu’s Moods
Genre: Hip-Hop/Rap: Underground Rap: Release Date: 2008
Davu Flint delivers a poetic masterpiece in Vu’s Moods. I’m really fascinated with his delivery.
Davu Flints has a hint of Mos Def in him and is an outstanding story teller. Check him out on “Timewitchu”. My favorite tracks:
“Timewitch and TheWhatwhat”. The album from beginning to end is hypnotizing. His soothing delivery keeps
you locked into the stories that he tells.
Davu is now residing in San Francisco and rocking the stage with his band Bottom Hammer. I’ve had
the pleasure of seeing them perform several times and this crew does not disappoint. Davu Flint
and the Bottom Hammer are amazing live. Below is a biography that I found on him. He’s definitely
made his stamp on hip hop. Check him out and support good hip hop at: http://www.myspace.com/davuflint
From murals to music, from poetry slams to theatre, from beats to rhymes,
Pittsburgh native Davu is a multidisciplinary artist constantly searching for new ways
of expression. He has performed his original brand of poetry and hip-hop throughout the U.S.
and abroad, appearing at CBGB’s, The Andy Warhol Museum, The Nuyorican Poets Cafe, the
Toronto International Poetry Slam, as well as London and South Africa. He has shared stages with
Sekou Sundiata, Saul Williams, Ursula Rucker, and Camp Lo. He’s interviewed KRS 1 and has
been anthologized in “Bum Rush the Page: A Def Poetry Jam” (Random House). He has published
two chapbooks of poetry as well as received a 2001 Pennsylvania Council on the Arts grant.
Davu’s 2006 hip-hop album, “The Sun Do Move”, can currently be found for sale in the U.S,
France, Germany, Japan, Belgium, and The Netherlands. On his upcoming record VU’s Moods,
Davu handles the production duties on an 11 song album that is his most expressive to date.
Backed by his own revolving band of gypsies, his ever evolving and fascinating band Bottom
Hammer, Davu’s live shows careen from soul to rock to hip-hop to broken beat.
Whether rocking a poetry reading, spinning a club, or singing a song, Davu is a
renaissance man of the highest order!!
